Alyssa Johnson, Pastry Chef

My name is Alyssa Johnson. I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

While there I studied Baking and Pastry and earned my Associates Degree. I am an alum of Penta Career Center, Culinary Arts program. I am currently working at a Zoo doing the pastries for some restaurants and a coffee shop. In the past I have also applied my talents and skills at hotels and restaurants. I hope to one day own my own store front.

I am originally from Toledo, Ohio. Now I am currently living in Columbus, Ohio with my husband Seth Johnson. My passion for food started when I was very young. I always knew I wanted to have something to do with making food for others. When I went to Penta I learned that I wanted to become a pastry chef and have love my choice every day!

My passion for baking has brought me from Ohio to New York then Alabama and back to Ohio again.

My favorite thing to make is wedding cakes and macarons!
